Story of An Artist
I guess I was born to be an artist. As a young child my Grandmother would tell me she saw a flaming sword where my right hand should be. That's heavy to lay on a 3 year old. But in an accident at the age of 12 my right hand was impaled by a shard of glass. The doctor operated, but back then not much could be done. The hand was in a cast for a year and when the cast was taken off I was instructed to write or draw to get use of the hand. I hate to write so I started to draw. But I put it down and went on with a Degree from Bucknell in Psychology , a career in the Army , another career as a Police officer where the art started to be used again. Forensics was the vehicle that God used to finally get me on His path. I served with distinction and had another stint with the FBI. Finally 15 years ago I became a full time God taught, artist. I'm known for my detail in my portraits. I've painted for three Presidents, a King along with his Family, two Queens and countless celebrities. The painting to the right was painted for the President of Kenya His Excellency Uhuru Kenyatta. It is one of my favorites and is called African Lions. Each man depicted there transformed Africa in his way. Shaka Zulu, Jomo Kenyatta, Father of the current President and Nelson Mandella.
